 Corus Cogifer has developed a range of products specially designed for the urban rail market. These products include: Monobloc Switches with removable blades & Solid Monobloc Crossings Corus Cogifer's own unique development of Tramwayswitch systems comprises of; a Monobloc switch 'cradle' and a fully removable switch blade. In addition to this a solid monobloc crossing is also available. The Solid Monobloc switch and crossing design offers a number of advantages over other designs of Grooved Rail switches, these include adaptable switches design, straight running surfaces and smooth curves, reduced noise pollution and less maintenance and easy assembly amongst others. Switch Actuation, Locking, Detection and Heating Systems Vossloh Cogifer has their own specialised track signaling department which has been involved with the design, manufacture and installation of signaling equipment on numerous urban rail projects. They have developed the motorised MCH61 series of locking and trailed electro hydraulic point machines for the operation of road level tramway points and crossings. A large range of route control interlocking systems, partially or fully computerised, have been developed by the Vossloh Cogifer signalling department.
